Encouraging health and fitness from a young age
NCC Early Learners promotes a healthy lifestyle through physical activity and healthy living throughout all our centres.
Our Physical programs include:
Active Kids Program
Young children love to run and jump and our “Active Kids” program is a specially designed for these little learners. This super fun sports program involves demonstration by the educator and repeated practise of gross motor skills, ball skills, fine motor, fitness, balance, dance, and group games skills.
Our sizeable open play spaces support regular physical activity for children to develop muscular strength and endurance and improve stability and gross motor skills. Developing their physical ability also helps establish self-esteem and improves social well-being. Having good fitness also enhances children’s learning potential.
Swimming Lessons
(Available at Buderim, Nambour, Chinchilla.)
Living in Queensland, particularly close to the coast, it’s great to be able to swim safely.
NCC Early Learners Nambour and Buderim are fortunate to be able to access the Learn to Swim pool complex at Nambour Christian College, which is right next door to NCC Early Learners Nambour.
As part of the daycare program, Nambour children from 3 years of age have free swimming lessons with a professional swim instructor once per week, providing families a massive saving in swimming lessons per year!
Buderim children have weekly lessons that commence at 3 years of age if your child attends on a swimming day. The swimming program at Nambour and Buderim runs for 40 weeks per year.
In Chinchilla we incorporate a swimming lesson with a professional swim instructor once per week for 30 minutes in a group as part of the long day care program for children from 3 years of age. This session is perfect for families who would like their child to learn to swim and be safe in water environments. Swimming occurs for six months per year and children who complete the program have greater swimming skills and understanding on how to be safe in water environments, plus they develop the physical stamina and muscles to enjoy swimming.
