Hervey Bay NCC Early Learners is a spacious, welcoming early learning centre designed to provide children with the very best start to their educational journey. Conveniently located in Wondunna, our purpose-built centre offers a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

Our play-based learning approach encourages curiosity, creativity and discovery through meaningful experiences tailored to each child’s stage of development. With expansive indoor learning spaces, abundant natural light and thoughtfully designed environments, children are encouraged to explore, create, imagine and grow every day.

The centre features large outdoor play areas that connect children with nature through natural playscapes, shaded spaces, gardens and opportunities for active exploration. These environments support physical development, problem-solving skills, social connections and a lifelong love of learning.

Our dedicated team of caring educators works closely with families to create a supportive community where every child is known, encouraged and celebrated. At NCC Early Learners Hervey Bay we provide childcare and early learning for 76 full-time places across 4 rooms.

  • Infants – 6 weeks to 2 years
  • Toddlers – 2 years to 3 years
  • Pre-Kindy – 3 years to 4 years
  • Kindy – 4 years to 5.5 years

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-Kindy Program: Children may be enrolled for any number of days per week.
Kindy Program: Under the Qld Kindergarten Funding Program, children are required to be enrolled for a minimum of two days per week.

Our session times are designed to suit busy lifestyles of our families.

NCC Early Learners is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays.
Please note: we are closed for two weeks over the Christmas holiday period.

StoryPark – Communication Program

We know Mums and Dads love to stay engaged in their child’s development; at NCC Early Learners, we understand this and know it is vitally important to record and communicate learning as it happens. StoryPark is a private environment where educators will provide photos, video and observations to families in a secure application. Parents can give feedback and personalise their child’s learning.

Kindergarten Program

Our kindergarten program in Hervey Bay is a valuable time for children. Our Queensland government approved kindergarten program assists in developing social skills and emotional well-being while building steps in literacy, numeracy and creativity essential for laying the foundations for future learning and preparing every child for school and beyond.

Our Learning Program includes cultural development (music, art, indigenous culture), Sports, Christian values, Excursions, Incursions (guest educational visits to the centre, community walks and Bush Kindy.

Registration Fee

A registration fee of $100 per child is due when you lodge your enrolment application, which can happen after birth. This fee includes an early learning pack with a backpack, hat, t-shirt, wet clothes bag and drink bottle – everything your child needs for a fun-filled day at NCC Early Learners.

Holiday Discounts

We understand during school holidays, families often plan time together , especially if they have older siblings. NCC Early Learners offers a 25% discount on your gap fees during school holidays for two weeks per year. You need to advise us in writing at least two weeks prior and must be for an entire week at a time (no part weeks). We are closed for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, where you are not charged at all.
